Membership of our club is now open for 2025 from as little as €5 for a full year from January to December.
Our aim is to make hiking as accessible to as many as possible and and in doing so we let you decide what you pay for membership. This way no one is left out and each can join according to their own financial circumstances.

As a club we organise a hike on the mountains every other weekend as well as weekends away. New members are always welcome. If you would like to join us on one of our walks then simply sign in below and we will see you on the day. You must do a lower grade walks initially. Membership is open to those over 30 years of age. The Club has a policy of car pooling where possible.

We carpool and leave Copley street, (around the corner from the Fire station) in the city centre, at 8.45 am for hikes.

Coming from the City Hall, pass the fire station on your left. Next pass the Garda station and take a right at the traffic lights on to Copley street. We meet across from the red brick building.

Hiking is a great sport that provides a connection with nature as well as with likeminded people. There are a number of advantages to joining a hiking club and Cork Hillwalkers offers plenty of choice, as we hike throughout the year, organise social events, and weekends.

If a hike is cancelled due to severe weather conditions etc. it will be advertised on our club Facebook page at 8am on the morning of the hike. Therefore we encourage you to check Facebook on the morning. If there is no 'Cancelled Hike' notice, then the hike is going ahead as normal. Click Here for Facebook.
