Camino - Spain.
The most popular walking holiday in Europe is the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain. A 900km walk beginning on the French Spanish border and ending in the city of Santiago. Over two hundred thousand people walk the Camino each year and the numbers are increasing all the time. As a club we organise a week long trip to one or more sections of the Camino. The photographs give a flavour of the experience. Traditionally pilgrims walked the Camino for Religious, Spiritual or Cultural reasons but today it may be enjoyed as a walking holiday.

The Camino is divided into 8 sections. The first section beginning in St.Jean Piede de Port and ending in Logrono. Its a popular section as its the start of the French / Spanish route and the beginning point for anyone who would walk the whole Camino in one or many visits. By far the most popular is the final section from Sarria to Santiago. At just over 100km and between five and six days walking, it is sufficient for you to receive your 'Compella' or certificate of walking the Camino.
